The Facts- Where from, where to and when :-)

I will start the journey from Enfield, north part of london, from home of very nice Cyprian lady who rented me room in last 3 months.
The cycle of approximately 800 miles will first cross areas near Oxford and Worchester reaching Shropshire and later on Wales's  snowdonia.
Crossing to Ireland will be from Holyhead. Ireland is still an open question for me but i would like to have a little turn from Dublin to Wicklow Mountains National park and then keep on journey west, ultimately reaching west coast and Achill Island in about 3 weeks time.
It is very likely there will be many unexpected changes and stops on the way as I might find new interesting places or people to visit.
I would like to cycle about 50 miles a day but to have few days spare to hike in Shropshire hills, climb Trifan in Wales, spend some time in Dublin, hike in Wicklow Mountains and maybe visit Cliffs of Moher or any other beautiful Ireland's coast destinations.
Certainly any good idea on what to do and visit from locals will be appreciated :-)
Trip will start on tuesday 19th of july 2016 and will take about 4 weeks, well i hope i won t give up after couple of days :-)

Why unusual?

There should not be much unusual about this idea, there is many people taking much longer cycling trips, in fact i was lucky enough to meet some of these passionate travellers on even longer cycles.
However I will try to complete this cycle in opposite gender role(as monika) to get some longer real life experience in this role. I hope it will help me to determine how big my gender dysphoria is  and what my next steps in life might be as  i am still confussed  about this issue.

And the main purpose of this crazy idea :-)

First of all, i am sorry but i am not cycling for any charity or any kind of money collection for a good purpose. I wanted to keep this trip pretty much less public but i feel this is something i should share with some of my close friends and relatives and
if it helps as a little inspiration for similar trans people then I will be very happy.
I will however try to focus on most important thing and that is trip itself, to picture and describe some of the beautiful places i will cross, to enjoy company of people and animals and mostly just having a nice time cycling.

Where will Monika stay overnight?

A bit concerned here :-) Well i better take a tent with me,it might be difficult in rainy weather but i will try to sleep in the wild most of the trip. Other option is the combination of campsites, hostels, couchsurfing or just random opportunities, this will be an interesting part to see how i will be able to get a roof above my head as monika.

Who i d like to meet up during the trip?

I am looking forward to meet up with all the foxes, deers, sheep, cows, birds .. :-) in all that silence in the woods :-)
I hope i will pass over initial shyeness and will be happy to meet any nice open minded people on the way but i will also try to contact some interesting people from trans comunnity via tvchix website in hope of having a drink and talk.
I would really like to meet female-transpartner couples to hear how they cope with the issue, maybe I will visit some of the venues for lgbt comunnity on the way.

But any short term guides of the local area are most welcomed :-)

In case you would like to follow the journey..

There is facebook website created just for this purpose:

https://www.facebook.com/Myunusualcycletrip-1211910732204547/

This facebook site will be updated every 3-4 days when possible with some of the pictures and few lines decribing the experience as well as the milleage progress.
If i will finish the trip in one piece :-) , i would like to recreate this blog and make better decription on how it all went.

And just a little phrase at the end i always try to remember when travelling:

"If you wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness and fears". (Cesare Pavese)
